Papers include correspondence, manuscripts of scientific papers and speeches, and files relating to Kerwin's activities in numerous organizations, notably the Canadian Association of Physicists, the Royal Society of Canada, the National Research Council of Canada, the California Institute of Technology, the Davy Faraday Research laboratory, the National Physical Laboratory, and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics. These papers document Kerwin's contribution to the organizations and associational development of the physics community as well as Kerwin's contribution to science policy and understanding of science by the general population.
